There are a few hardware items needed to mount the drape, which include a drape rod, measuring tape, pencil, a handheld drill, draping rings, a screw driver, and other mounting hardware.

To mount the drape rod, it is important to first measure the width of the window. Always allow 2-3 inches of space on each side of the window for the drapes to open fully. Drape rods are usually placed four inches above the window, but if you want to add height to the room, you can place the rod close to the ceiling.

Once you decide where to mount the window hardware, it is important to check the levels correctly, using the carpenters' level. Next, hold the mounting brackets to the wall and mark the location of the screw holes with a pencil before drilling them. Fix the brackets using a screw driver and mount the drape rod for a perfect look.
