The Stoneman of Ladakh | Skarma Junglay | Part 1 (Interview)

Kargil has been my second home for almost a decade now. Being a travel enthusiast I always am trying to explore places that are still unexplored and bring them to the world through the medium of my photographs and videos.

Some time back, one of my friend from Kargil told me about a man who has one of the most unique hobby in the world - Stone Collecting, I got curious and connected with him through social media and had a chat over the phone.
In 2021, I was invited to the Ladakh Winter Conclave to witness the winters in the newly formed Union Territory - Ladakh. I couldn't have missed this opportunity to see the works of Mr. Skarma Junglay. I called him up and arranged a meet to see his works and I was left so amazed with his collection. This man not just collects rocks and stones, he sees art in every stone/rock he sees.
