How to Wet Distress Furniture:
Step 1) Apply one coat of paint and let it dry completely
Step 2) Apply the second coat in a different color and let it dry for ~20 minutes
Step 3) Use a damp, lint-free rag to remove the top color focusing on edges, corners, and raised areas
How to Distress your Furniture with Sandpaper:
Step 1) Apply one coat of paint and let it dry completely
Step 2) Apply a second coat if needed and let it dry for 1-2 hours until completely dry to the touch
Step 3) Start with about 180 grit sandpaper and gently rub the areas on your piece that you want to remove paint from. Apply more pressure as needed
How to Resist Distress your Furniture:
Step 1) Paint your base coat and let it dry for approximately 24 hours
Step 2) Rub the beeswax distressing bar wherever you would like this paint color to show through your top coat of paint (focus on corners, edges, and raised areas)
Step 3) Apply your second coat and let it dry for 1-2 hours
Step 4) Use a damp rag or fine grit sand paper to easily remove paint where the beeswax was applied
