Building a Utility Sink: Reusing Cast Iron & Upgrading a Pole Barn for More Functionality

In this video, I'm tackling a DIY project close to my heart: rebuilding my grandfather’s fish cleaning sink! The original sink has fallen into disrepair, so I'm giving it a new life while incorporating some upgrades to make it more functional. For nostalgic reasons, I'm reusing the original cast iron sink, which adds a personal touch to the project.

Not only will this sink be used for cleaning fish, but I’m designing it to also wash produce from my new garden and provide a convenient spot for doing maintenance on my Aliner camper or lawnmower. This project is a work in progress, and I’m excited to share the process with you!
