Albertans will vote this fall Oct. 19 to decide whether Alberta should remain part of Canada, with an option to commence the legal process for a binding provincial referendum on separation. Premier Danielle Smith says the question blends the Forever Canadian petition and the Stay Free Alberta effort, which was struck down for not consulting First Nations.
