I'm not a chess collector, and here and there I don't trust in many of them. Some are veritable and sorry vultures.
In Ebay in seller's chess pieces, some are wonderful , some like this like that ( they don't now what they are selling, and sometimes, one or two "real crooks" with lies, outrageous prices, bad pictures, and above all, they know what they sell, and try to deceive the buyer. One must be careful and know something about Russian - Soviet chess pieces.

A "must" in Ebay russian chess pices sellers are the nicks: Russian Federation "antikvar911", Latvian "bulkcover". Sellers high ranked, and with a sense of truth and honesty in business.
