Iron Fox Sculpture in 🇱🇹 Sauliai, Lithuania

The Lithuania’s record book says that it is the largest animal sculpture: it weighs nearly 7 tons, is around 6,6 meters long 25 meters high. The steel heart of the iron fox, which is 1.20 meters high and 0.90 meters wide, contains a capsule with words engraved on the copper plate for future generations. The author of the sculpture designer Vilius Puronas constructed it in 2009 to commemorate the millennium of the first record of the name of Lithuania. The designer joked that Vilnius had a legend about an iron wolf and Šiauliai would be able to boast about the iron fox – the symbol of cunning and wisdom. It reached the coast of the lake on December 23rd, 2009.
