Pythagorean Theorem Proved

Here is a simple proof for the Pythagorean Theorem. Some people just put their faith in Pythagoras, but people like me are curious to see how it works. The theorem itself is used in many kinds of practical mathematics, and it's especially useful when calculating distances within a Cartesian reference system.
