Alpine Release 3.13

In this episode of the CyberGizmo we explore a look at Alpine 3.13 for x86_64. Alpine Linux is a low resource requirements Linux Distro which runs on just about anything from 32-bit x86 CPUS to modern 64-bit x86. It also support ARM, PowerPC, and Raspberry Pi's. The distro is based on busybox which reduces the footprint of the operating system dramatically. It uses musl instead of libc and openrc instead of systemd to maintain its small and fast architecture. It uses a different approach to package management which installs and updates packages 50% faster than the "traditional" Linux package managers. There are versions of Alpine which run entirely in RAM, and some which install on disk as well.
