The way Subtlety is designed it is more centered around crowd control and managing your stuns and also different crowd control abilities. The burst that Subtlety can push is pretty strong and if you have your target locked down with stuns which I did not really do here it can be difficult to escape the bursting damage of Subtlety . Mastery increases the damage done by your finishing moves.Subtlety is a very technical rogue spec that has a lot of crowd control and has multiple stuns like Kidney Shot and cheap shot that you can repeatedly use on the same target or stun multiple targets. The Burst that Subtlety has is still pretty strong and some classes can't really handle the burst damage that it has if they are lockdown by multiple cheap shots. I have a macro that I use for when I do play Subtlety, and it is there at the bottom. The main stat that you need as Subtlety is Mastery it increases the damage of your finishing moves .
