My YouTube Message, March 16, 2022

As most viewers and subscribers have likely noticed, I haven’t uploaded much content since the Louie Anderson compilation this late January. I owe everyone an explanation.

The reason is related to the newly-launched official Dave channel. I was told many moons ago that should it ever materialize, it would have a substantial impact on my channel.

Well, it has, and it has. Throughout the life of this channel, the powers-that-be have given me an enormous amount of leeway with the content I’ve been able to share here. And that’s a gesture for which I’ll always be grateful.

Due to your unbelievable support for this channel, these same powers-that-be have taken notice, and they've hired me as a consultant for their new Dave channel. What that means is that the long-established status quo has changed, and how it's affected my own channel should be apparent.

What my new job will entail remains to be worked out. But I'm encouraged to believe that there may be some nice surprises down the road.

So please fret not. This isn’t necessarily the end of the book, just the end of one chapter. This channel lives on, just not in as active an uploading state as it once was.

Thank you all a thousand times. You’ve all made this work.
