State of the City - PARKS

Palm Bay continues to invest in parks, recreation, and public spaces that bring people together and strengthen our community.

The City maintains more than 40 parks and 15 specialized facilities, with several major improvements completed throughout the past year. At Fred Poppe Regional Park, Palm Bay opened its largest all-inclusive playground, creating a welcoming space where children of all abilities can play.

Liberty Park received upgrades to its ballfield complex, while Castaways Point, Stearns Point, Ken Greene Park, and the City’s newest dog park also saw improvements that expand recreational opportunities for residents.

At Sacrifice Park, the addition of a memorial wall, obelisk, and amphitheater created a lasting tribute to the fallen heroes of Palm Bay and Brevard County. These improvements reflect our commitment to honoring their service, supporting their families, and ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.

Watch this segment from Mayor Rob Medina’s Annual State of the City Address to learn more about the investments being made in Palm Bay’s parks and community spaces.
