​@dsourceindia Indian Toy Design is a course by Prof. Vijay Bapat from IDC, School of Design, IIT Bombay, focused on creating kids' play products inspired by biomimicry. During the course, students were divided into two groups tasked with designing either push toys or ride-on toys, each incorporating biomimetic principles inspired by natural movements, structures, and systems. They transformed these observations from nature into creative, functional play products through a hands-on, iterative process that included user research, market analysis, ideation, prototyping, and final concept presentations.
Snehal took inspiration from the camel to design Cunth. Its head moves in an elegant oval path, evoking the poetic rhythm of a camel’s walk, while the rider behind swivels on a pivot, creating the immersive feeling of journeying through a desert.
