In our constitutional system, who decides? A book event with Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton | LIVE STREAM

Under a Constitution that separates power among the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, sometimes the hardest question is simply “Who decides?” If states are to act as so-called laboratories of democracy, then federal lawmakers and judges should learn from states’ experiments. In his new book, “Who Decides? States as Laboratories of Constitutional Experimentation” (Oxford University Press, 2021), Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit argues that states can teach the federal government how best to be responsive to voters and ensure the rights of all.
