Bruch Masterclass: Kol Nidrei – Musings with Inbal Segev

Hello Cellists,

Yom Kippur, the day of atonement for Jewish people, is coming up on the evening of September 18th. I thought now would be a good time to talk about Max Bruch's Kol Nidrei, which is based on the poignant prayer at the beginning of the service. I’ll explain the significance of the prayer and walk you through the piece which is introspective at first, but becomes more outwardly expressive as it progresses.
