El lince es capaz de saltar unos 10 metros de altura lo que les puede ayudar en variedad de situaciones. Este movimiento puede ayudarlos cuando se trata de conseguir sus presas, también a evitar convertirse en fuente de alimento para varios tipos de depredadores. Los linces hacen estos movimientos sin esfuerzo. Son capaces de saltar tan alto, debido a un mecanismo de despegue en su columna vertebral.
