The larger more powerful engine of the two is a 3.6 liter 6-cylinder that makes 256 horsepower and 247 lb-ft. of torque. This engine gets 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. All 2012 Subaru Outback models come with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive which distributes power to all 4 wheels resulting in the maximum amount of traction which of course translates to a safer vehicle.

The Outback is one of the most popular wagons on the road today and this vehicle is known for its usefulness and practicality. The rear hatch opens to reveal a huge amount of cargo volume with the seats up and a hard top surface that is tough and durable. With the seats folded down; the Outback swells to 71 cubic feet of storage space.
