RV Stabilizer Jacks: Manual vs. Electric | Country Camper

We cover the the operation of manual stabilizer jacks and electric power stabilizer that are found on most towable campers. Stabilizer jacks were designed to provide stability at your campsite and remove the ground shake that occurs as people move inside the camper. Stabilizer jacks are intended for stability, not leveling.

Manual stabilizer jacks or "scissor jacks" are manually operated with a crank. The crank is typically found in the front storage compartments or under the primary bed. Electric power stabilizer jacks feature a power extend and retract button. In the event of failure, the electric power stabilizer jacks have a crank operated manual override.

The campers featured in this video are a 2021 Grand Design Transcend Xplor 297QB (manual stabilizer jacks) and a 2021 Keystone Hideout 272BH (electric power stabilizer jacks).
