9. Disposing of used plastic bottles in Earthship tires

I decided to invest in land in May 2022 after realizing that buying a house seemed out of reach. My friend Doug, who used to be my boss, inspired me by documenting his journey of building an amazing house in Sunrise Beach Village, TX. I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to put an offer on a piece of land without doing any research.

I don't care about climate change. I think it's all crazy politician talk finding a way to screw us over any which way they can. However, I am deeply committed to environmental conservation, cleaning up when and however I can, and I'm eager to do my part in respecting nature. I had the idea of constructing a house from recyclable materials and waste, which I thought would be an exciting endeavor. I purchased a hammer and started collecting trash.

My experience is limited to building basic sets for actors in Los Angeles, so this will be my first time constructing something that needs to be durable enough to withstand an alien invasion. Or the Chinese government. Whoever invades us first, Nesta and I will be safe.
