ROMAN CITY IN MOROCCO: VOLUBILUS
This is a brief view of the ancient city of Volubilus, Morocco. It was built in the first century AD on a site previously constructed 200BC. This Roman city had a population of about 20,000 people. Although it is small by the standards of other Roman cities built in the same era, what is notable are the amount of ceramic floors that are still on site in the open. These floors have been deteriorating quite fast since they were restored more than 20 years ago. I've visited other Roman cities like Pompei, Jerash, Petra, and smaller ones in France and Spain. The best of those floors are in the walls of many museums. The rest of this video shows some infrastructure, and methods of hinged doorways with accompanying architecture. Enjoy
