Belle’s live-action dress is awful.

Enjoy, as I rant about why Emma Watson’s gown in the remake Beauty and the Beast Movie is a major disappointment. It’s nowhere near as spectacular as the animated, it doesn’t fit into the historic theme of the movie, and forcing modern views into its design ruined any potential it had.

(For all the fashion history buffs- I know I should be referring to them as stays, but “corset” is a more broadly understood term, so I decided to go with that, even though it’s not historically accurate. Sorry.)
