Ending a Story | Lessons From Monster's Inc.

#monstersinc #storyendings #anymation

Is there a better way to end Animated features? Something I feel can often be over looked in animated features, is the ending. Often I feel that the storytellers are trying to wrap up the story in a neat bundle, and have some fun at the end to leave on a positive note. But often it's to the detriment of the story. But not with Monster's Inc. It offers a beautiful lesson in resolving a character's arc, ending a story on a positive note while our hearts beg for more.

Really I actually want to talk about the epilogue rather than the ending of a story, and the familiar formulaic endings that we seem time and time again in Animated Features. And, like I said, see the Lessons we can learn from Monster's Inc.

As this video is about endings, of course there will be spoilers. Major ones for Monster's Inc. (obviously), Ralph Breaks the Internet, Coco, Monster's University, Wreck it Ralph. I tried to avoid spoiling the others too much!
