The Girl Whose SEVERED Head Was Found Inside A Hello Kitty

The case started in May 1999 when a distressed 14-year-old girl, only referred to as Ah Fong, walked into a police station in Hong Kong and told the cops that she was being haunted by a ghost of a dead woman. The woman she saw was bound with electrical wires and had blood all over her body.

At first, the police did not believe her and thought that she was on some illegal substances, especially since she had a history of being involved with some shady people.

But then, the girl told them that she was actually involved in the murder and that she knew where the body was hidden. She explained that the ghost had been haunting her for weeks and that it would not stop until she confessed.

Still skeptical, the police followed Ah Fong to an apartment building in the Kowloon area, Hong Kong, and what they found would haunt them for a very long time.

It did not look like your usual crime scene. The apartment was full of Hello Kitty memorabilia, from curtains to towels to sheets and silverware. There were also several Hello Kitty stuffed dolls all over the house but one doll in particular really stood out.

It was an oversized Hello Kitty mermaid doll and inside it was something so haunting that would shake the entire nation and make this one of the most heinous crimes in Hong Kong’s history.

The police were completely horrified and could not believe that such brutality could be performed by another human being. In fact, one of the investigators would later say that he’d never seen such a cruel case in his 21 years in the police force.

The victim, in this case, was a woman by the name of Fan Man-yee. From an early age, Fan’s life had been full of misery that started when her parents walked out on her as a baby. She grew up in a girls’ orphanage.

At the age of sixteen, the orphanage felt that Fan was old enough to fend for herself and so they just kicked her out. And with nowhere else to go and no real skills to help her get a decent job, Fan found herself out in the streets doing whatever she could to survive. She also developed an addiction to narcotics and turned to petty crimes and selling her body to pay for it.
