The Sound of Galactica (Alton Towers)

I could not resist doing this on my latest trip to the park for their fireworks event as this is one of my favourite themes of all time for any attraction I currently know. This is a clean audio recording of Galactica's full 25-minute soundtrack which is played in the queue, station and plaza areas of the ride with no background noise from wind, screams or people talking.

(4:58 onwards is the new section, the first few minutes are a recording of the version currently online. 8:00 minutes onwards is when the recording becomes a bit clearer too.)

What you are listening to was recorded on my smartphone's built-in microphone and then heavily enhanced and edited through various software to make it sound as clean, sharp and bassy as possible. However, I am not a wizard when it comes to audio so I admit it could sound a lot better than this current form.

Please note that if I am requested to remove this video from one of IMAscore, Merlin or Alton Towers, I will do so immediately at their request. I understand Merlin do not want to publicly release the full version of this track (which strikes me as extremely odd considering I and many others will gladly pay money to listen to this, much like almost every other theme park in the world does), so if the event occurs, this video will get taken down.

Although, when you consider this is not a studio copy of the original soundtrack, and various other fully recorded music for other rides owned by Merlin across all of their theme parks are easily available online through YouTube (such as Scorpion Express, The Swarm, Dark Forest, Derren Brown's Ghost Train, Spinball Whizzer etc. just to name a few), I cannot see how this should be an issue. Thank you for your understanding.

Lastly, unfortunately, this recording is only in mono not stereo due to having only one usable microphone on the phone, as well as standing next to only one speaker and not two.

Anyway, enjoy this video with slow-motion clips I took on my last trip and the music provided. It certainly is one of my personal favourites!
