Toto ~ Africa 1982 Extended Meow Mix

I wanted to give you something really big to thank you all for subscribing and helping me reach one half million followers. I love y'all! That happened last week but I was unable to come up with something and then found these files today and finished the remix. "Africa" has been one of my most popular requests to remix and I'm ready to say "Come and get it"! As chance would have it, it was released today October 30 back in 1982.

I had already remixed "Georgy Porgy" and "Rosanna" finally getting around to finishing "Africa" that I started on in 2007 and forgot about. After "Rosanna" peaked at #2, the follow up single "Make Believe" lost steam at #32. "Africa" peaked at #1 on February 5, 1983 and was lead singer Bobby Kimball's last album with the band when he left in 1984 opting for a solo career.

Toto carried on, but never again reached the heights they did with Toto 4. The had two #1 Adult Contemporary hits, "I Won't Hold You Back" in 1983, and then again in 1986 with "I'll Be Over You". Their last charting single was the #22 "Pamela" in 1988.
