On July 3, Indian equity indices closed higher, with the Nifty surpassing 24,250 due to buying activity across most sectors except media. The Sensex concluded up by 545.35 points or 0.69 percent at 79,986.80, while the Nifty rose by 162.70 points or 0.67 percent to 24,286.50 at the close.
