Push-pull tube architecture depends on balance.

The circuit divides the signal between two sides of the output stage.
Each side must contribute its part of the waveform with similar behavior, similar current flow, and predictable response.

That is why matched output tubes matter.

If one tube conducts differently from the other, the balance of the push-pull stage changes. This can affect distortion behavior, output transformer operation, bias stability, headroom, and how evenly the amplifier delivers energy to the load.

Matching is not about perfection.

It is about reducing unnecessary imbalance in a circuit that was designed to work symmetrically.

A good push-pull amplifier is not only defined by the tube type.

It is defined by how well the tubes, phase inverter, bias network, output transformer, and layout work together as one balanced system.
