Sealing Up AC Unit Rodent Entry Points | Preventing Future No AC Calls

After finding a mouse nest inside this outdoor AC condenser, I went ahead and sealed up all the openings to help prevent rodents from getting back inside the unit.
Mice and other rodents can cause major damage to wiring, insulation, contactors, and other electrical components inside condensers. A little prevention now can save you from expensive no AC breakdowns later.

If you’ve had rodent issues around your home, it’s a good idea to:
- Seal gaps and openings
- Keep the area around the unit clean
- Use safe repellents when appropriate
- Have your AC system inspected before summer

Preventative maintenance goes a long way.
