So here is the tea, my flight got canceled and I had 3 1/2 extra days added to my stay in Boston. So instead of relaxing and watching Netflix in my hotel room, I decided to take the next logical step in this scenario: torment my friends and make an extreme home makeover in 3 days completely unsolicited. In this video I focus on their living room transformation. I already revealed their bedroom and kitchen the links are below so you can watch it afterwards. I had a small budget of $300 for all three rooms, so I tried to spend roughly $100 on each space. The challenge was that I only had 24 hours to transform each room. Due to the small budget I had to get creative with a couple of DIYs to get the look that I was going for. Also, this is a basement unit which is very common in the Boston region, so the space was very small. I had to make a transformation that would work with the small rooms and ideally make them look bigger. Needless to say this is a guy's apartment so the style that he felt comfortable with was modern, minimalistic and industrial.
