I have been using Insta 360 one x 2 for over a month now. i am quite impressed with its feature and its capabilities.
it is very versatile and relatively easy to use. However, there are some things about this camera, that could be improved on, at least according to me.
Firstly

Convenience
you can just take off the cover and start to shoot, just press the button and start shooting.
no need to worry about pointing the camera to the subject since it shoots 360 angle.
you can just chose the frame post shoot, depending on which ever angle you like.
this saves the time when you don’t know if the frame was correctly pointing to the subject and shooting again.
Secondly
Flowstate Stabilization
Worried about shaky video and and spending a lot of money on gimbal? no more.
it might not be cheap to own a gimbal just to get that smooth video. Now with Insta 360 Cam we can forget about shaky videos. just focus on the action activities that’s it.
I usually take it for my bicycle ride or running. and now i don’t have to worry about holding the camera correctly to avoid shaking and correct it after the shoot. This cam gives that smooth buttery video.
Sound
Sound is the most important aspect of the video, no matter how good your video is, if sound is crappy, then no one would like to watch the video.
Using external mic on action camera does not make any sense and is very inconvenient. Now with insta 360oneX2 4 mics it captures good audio. During my running, some times i would like to feature guests and have conversations with them, so having good audio is the essential for that.
even during running or cycling the wind noise is well eliminated on this camera so not no need to worry on audio side of it.
Fourth
Invisible Selfie Stick

When i was shooting with my Gopro i always had to worry about that selfie stick appearing on corner of the video, which many at time looks ugly.
i had to find a way that was as natural as possible. now with technology, the selfie stick is invisible on the 360 camera and this specially good for self shooters like me who wish to show first point of view.
you can just place the camera at any angle and it’s good to go! the stick will not appear on the footage.

Horizon Lock
its quite frustrating, when you realise after shooting a video, that its not at the level you wanted, probably a bit tilted or completely at facing other way.
with Horizon lock you can just shoot and the footage comes out straight. no need to worry if the camera was tilted or grip was not straight. you will see the footage straight.

those were the pros, now, lets look at the cons of this camera.
by way you tube tells me that 80% of my viewers are not subscribed to my channel, it would be great if subscribe to my channel, it will motivate me to make more videos.

Alright, now for the cons of insta 360 camera.

First of all,

all the footage on this camera comes in with INSV file which is not compatible to edit directly on editing softwares like final cut pro or Imovie. hence you need to first reframe the video and export either from phone or a desktop app, that means you would literally be spending more time editing compared to other regular action camera like go pro or Cosmo action.
work flow may be fun but really time consuming. if i run or cycle for 1 hr i might need to spend the same amount of time to export from the insta 360 camera and edit the video which takes another additional amount of time.
so if you don’t mind spending that much of time to edit then its not a bad camera.

File Size
It shoots 5.k 360 video hence the file size or the footage size is really huge. I use iPhone with 128GB storage and one day of shooting will be too much to store in my iphone. so what i do is: after some footage and at my free time i reframe and export the file to my phone and delete the original file this is to save the space on both my phone and the insta 360 cam.
so if you are struggling with storage then this may be not a good option.


Resolution
even though is camera shoots 5.7k video in 360 angle that means that’s for entire 360 angles. when you reframe it and export the footage you can get maximum of only 1080p. hence this may not be the great if you like to shoot 4k and above. don’t be fooled by 5.7 k resolution.

Size
insta 360onex2 is a rectangular cam and comes with special stick which magically becomes invisible on the video shot and the video looks awesome. I bought this cam for my running vlogs and some cycling shoot. the stick that comes with it is slightly bigger hence its really difficult to carry when i am out running. it doesn’t fit in my side pocket. the only way is to carry the hydration bag and slide in into those deep pockets of the bag. i went to look for a shorter stick so that it fits in my pocket and is easy to carry. and here is the smaller stick which is meant for insta 360 one R.
