Wildlife Photography in the city - Foxes

Is it wrong to feed wild animals to get good photos?

Baiting in terms of photography at least, and feeding wild animals in general can be hugely divisive (especially in the world of wildlife photography), often generating very passionate arguments around the subject, especially online from people perhaps feeling overstimulated by the effects of anonymity.

But with more extreme examples aside, such as using live bait, why is it so controversial? Well a there’s a lot of variables to consider. How often to use bait, where you can use it, what you should use and how you should use it. But that still doesn’t answer why the subject can be so contentious.

Well, in this video I attempt to answer that or at least take an unbiased look at the topic, whilst taking photographs of some incredibly beautiful and charismatic foxes using my 5DIV and at times a 50mm f1.8.
