A Python service that tracks, transforms and delivers heart rate data in real time w/ OSS components
This week on our weekly "working in public" session Tomas Neubauer and Javier Blanco present a Python service that tracks, transforms and delivers heart rate data in real time w/ OSS components. A version of this session was delivered in Berlin last week. Please come along live and ask questions.
They'll look at the details and benefits of building a python service that collects data from a heart rate monitor, transforms it in streams, and sends alerts to a phone when the wearer’s heart rate spikes above a set point. They'll also explain how to do complex transformations to the data — such as how to calculate calories burned — using Python using Quix, Twilio, and open source components.
