Layout Update - August 2021: Speeder Shed Scenery, Masonry Sign, Station Progress, Paint Shelving...

Here's what we've been up to this past month on the layout:

- Finally finished the scenery around the speeder shed and locomotive watering station. Took a little artistic license with the rerailers and created a road crossing that ties into the road on both sides of the tracks. First time using my new War World Scenics Micro Static Grass Applicator, had to make a smaller gauge mesh for 2mm static grass.

- Banff Heritage Train Station sign. Modelling this cement and washed rock sign using green MDF as the core, some styrene and brass. Used my own photos of the sign to create photo realistic prints for it. Made 5 in total. Another one is an earlier era Rocky Mountaineer logo. Jasper will get one as well in the future when I get to the CN side of the layout.

- Banff station progress, 2nd floor vertical walls complete. Roof is next.

- Made some custom shelving for my spray paint cans near the air booth to organize the workstation better. Scrap 5/8 ply left over from road bed construction.
