Tory MP and ex-soldier applauded for Afghanistan speech in Commons
Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat, who served as a soldier in Afghanistan, has made an emotional speech to the House of Commons, for which he received a round of applause from its members.
Tom Tugendhat told MPs that the events in Afghanistan in recent days do “not have to be defeat” but “damn well feels like it”.
