सुबह सात बजे से आज फलता विधानसभा में कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच सभी 285 मतदान केन्द्रों पर वोट डाले जा रहे हैं.....इस सीट पर 2 लाख 35 हज़ार से ज्यादा मतदाता हैं...और कुल 6 उम्मीदवार मैदान में हैं...हालांकि इनमें से टीएमसी उम्मीदवार जहांगीर खान ने मैदान छोड़ने का ऐलान कर दिया है...लेकिन उनके इस ऐलान से वोटिंग प्रक्रिया पर कोई असर नहीं पड़ेगा..क्योंकि ईवीएम में उनका नाम बतौर उम्मीदवार दर्ज है...आज चुनाव आयोग ने कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी है...हर बूथ पर पैरामिलिट्री के 8 जवान तैनात किये गये हैं...पिछली बार हर बूथ पर चार जवान थे..इसके साथ साथ पिछली बार कई ग्रामीणों ने आरोप लगाया था कि उन्हें बूथ तक नहीं पहुंचने दिया गया..इसके लिए आज चुनाव आयोग ने 30 क्विक रिस्पॉंस टीमें बनाई है ताकि जैसे ही शिकायत मिले तो उस पर एक्शन लिया जा सके...पिछली बार ईवीएम के साथ भी छेड़खानी के वीडियो सामने आए थे...उम्मीदवार के नाम के आग टेप लगा दिया गया था..कई जगहों पर इत्र लगा दिया गया था...इन सारी शिकायतों के बाद 2 मई को चुनाव रद्द कर दिया गया था..और अब आज दोबारा वोट डाले जा रहे हैं।

Voting is underway in Falta Assembly constituency from 7 AM today amid tight security across all 285 polling stations. The seat has over 235,000 registered voters and six candidates in the fray. However, TMC candidate Jahangir Khan has announced his withdrawal from the contest, though it will not impact the voting process as his name still remains on the EVMs. The Election Commission has deployed strong security arrangements this time, with eight paramilitary personnel stationed at each booth, compared to four in the previous election. Additionally, 30 Quick Response Teams (QRTs) have been deployed to ensure immediate action in case of any complaints. In the previous election, several villagers had alleged they were prevented from reaching polling booths. There were also reports of EVM tampering, including incidents where tapes were allegedly applied to candidate names and even perfume was sprayed on machines. Following these complaints, the election held on May 2 was cancelled. The voting is now being conducted again today under stricter monitoring and enhanced security measures.
