To Enrich Mankind (1955)

A film from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Gus the sloppy museum curator (where ARE your gloves?) has to stay late to set up a museum display for high school kids. The (wax? stuffed?) statue of Archimedes moans as Gus presses the lever, then comes to life, but Gus is worried Archimedes will be prancing around when the high school kids show up. A pompous Archimedes then sets Gus straight about all the wonders of mechanical things. Excellent color.
