Clémence Poésy is recalling the time that Eddie Redmayne went down on her. They were filming the BBC's adaptation of Birdsong, and Eddie taped cherry-flavoured Haribo to Clémence's inner thigh as the demarcation line for his questing tongue. 'Oh God!' she says, realising that she may have overshared. 'I'll end up having this come up on Google next to my fucking name for six months!'

The Borrower-sized French actress has travelled to London from an unglamorous corner of Kent, where she's been filming a new Borgen-Killing-Bridge-type murder series called The Tunnel for Sky. She's a policewoman - 'the first time I've played a cop!' But between shoot days, she flits hither and thither like an oligarch's wife - 'I'm never anywhere for more than three weeks. I know London very well. I adore New York. I've lived in Italy. Paris is where my family are, but it's not really home now because I have dear friends in London, and dear friends in New York.'
