Spring Crappie Fishing - From Slow Bite to SLABS!

Spring crappie fishing in shallow water can be either on fire or painfully slow.
Today I had to move spots multiple times before finally finding the slabs.

Spring crappie fishing is finally heating up, and I hit the water to chase shallow water slabs. The bite started out slow, and I had to move between multiple spots trying to locate active fish.

Some areas showed promise, but the bite just wasn’t consistent, so I kept covering water and adjusting my approach. It turned into a bit of a grind early on, with lots of casting and not much action.

After a few location changes, things finally started to come together. I started seeing more fish, better signs, and eventually found a group of solid spring crappies holding in the shallows.

Days like this really show how important it is to keep moving and stay flexible until you find active fish. Hope you enjoy the trip!
