Casa Museo del Doctor Mena, La Ampuyenta, Fuerteventura.

En el pueblo de La Ampuyenta, destacan dos puntos de interés turístico: su pequeña iglesia con unas impresionantes pinturas y el Museo del Doctor Mena.
Don Tomás Mena fue un ilustre majorero que estudió medicina y nació un una aldea cercana a La Ampuyenta. Fue una persona muy generosa y altruista, que no cobraba a los enfermos e intentó establecer en dicho pueblo un Hospital gratuito.
La casa donde vivió sus últimos años se ha convertido en un museo en homenaje a este doctor.
En ella, y guiados por José, encargado del museo, que de manera excelente nos explica todo lo referente al Museo, podemos ver cómo era una vivienda del siglo XIX, y en sus diferentes habitaciones podemos ver también las zonas donde recibía y trataba a los enfermos que le visitaban.
También se celebran diferentes exposiciones de arte en una sala del museo.

Herr Tomas Mena war eine illustre Majorero studierte er Medizin und wurde auf einem Dorf in der Nähe La Ampuyenta geboren. Es war ein sehr großzügig und selbstlos, dass nicht verantwortlich für Kranke und versuchte, in dieser Stadt ein Free Hospital errichten.
