#THELEGIONNAIRE - Joining the French Foreign Legion
“I advise no one to join the French Foreign Legion on the assumption of glamour or glory!” (Thomas Gast) #Frenchforeignlegion
The only solution to join the French Foreign Legion is to travel to mainland France and knock on the door of one of the foreign legion recruiting centers called PILEs. Once you are in, free accommodation, food and clothing are immediately provided by the legion. There is no other way!

Be aware that this is NOT an official recruiting website of the French Foreign Legion. This is an information page run by Thomas Gast. Thomas was born in 1961. At the age of 23 he joined the French Foreign Legion, his “school of life.” His first two years were with the 3rd Infantry Regiment in French Guyana, he then served seventeen years, attaining the rank of Adjutant, in the elite 2nd Parachute Regiment (the only airborne unit in the French Foreign Legion), based on the island of Corsica. During this time, he was involved in a wide variety of overseas tours and theatres of operation. This vast experience inspired him to tell his stunning stories about this mysterious guild.
