An oil filter, an oil filter tool.
An Imbus No. 8 tool,
and a torque tool.

Not to mention cloth and paper, to clean.
The motorcycle is warm and we open the filler plug.
Also remove the rubber ring from the opening. So he can not fall into the engine.
We use the Imbus tool to loosen the oil drain screw.
Put the tub underneath and put on the glove.
To protect against the hot oil
Now turn the drain plug completely out by hand.

Drain the oil completely.
Then we can screw in the drain plug again.
We use this M16 screw with a new seal.
Do not forget to tighten the drain plug to the torque specified by BMW.
With the tool we now solve the oil filter.

Again we take the tub and unscrew the filter completely.
Because most of the oil has already been drained, not much oil will leak out.
Now empty the filter into the tub.
Please dispose of older oil, oil filters and oil-soaked cloth and paper properly.
Now we clean the sealing surface for the oil filter.
As well as the surrounding motor housing.
So that the sealing surface is clean, for the installation of the new filter.
The new filter requires pre-treatment.
So that it can be easily solved again at the next oil change.
We coat the rubber seal with new oil.
Now we screw the filter onto the motor-side thread.
For this you need a little patience.
The oil filter we screwed in completely and now hand-tightened.
Only tighten as much as possible by hand.
A too tight filter can be solved later hardly more.
We now clean the motor housing with the cloth.
The funnel is used to fill in the amount of oil specified by BMW.
You can check the level on the sight glass for the oil level. It should be completely filled.
Now the rubber sealing ring is reinstalled and screwed in the screw plug.
And tightened with the tool.
