2022 Toyota GR Yaris – The Delicate Brute You Can't Hate

The Toyota GR Yaris is less of a car and more of a statement by Toyota. It's not a brand for elderly retirees anymore, it hasn't forgotten its motorsports roots. To mark its 'reignition,' the Gazoo Racing division saw it fit to make a big splash in the World Rally Championships with a purpose-built rallycar, from which was born the homologation-special we see here.

Limited to less than 140 units locally (with this one numbered '000'), the Toyota GR Yaris is rarer a sight on Malaysian roads than most Ferraris. With the lightest and most potent 3-cylinder turbocharged engine under the bonnet, Toyota's first AWD system in 20-years and a 6-speed manual in the middle... we're salivating. Aren't you?
