Located on the banks of Dnieper River in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, The Motherland Monument is a memorial dedicated to the sacrifices of the Great War (WW2). Build in the early 80's the Monument is made of stainless steel and was built during the Communist Times. Access to the park and the Patriotic War Museum is free but to get great views in the Podium Rotunda or through a Private Guided Tour, visitors can access the top of the Monument behind the shield.

Access to the Top-Level is limited to about 14-16 people per day and can be a challenge for people who are not fit, scared of heights or can't climb ladders. So instead of wondering what it's like to climb up in the arm of the Monument, come see from start to finish what the Private Tour is like and what you need to do to get to the Top! This was the highlight of my trip to Kiev for sure.
