A Medley of Songs of the Legendary Kishore Kumar by Chandrashekhar Phanse on Sitar

This medley strings together five famous Hindi film songs sung by the maestro Kishore Kumar. Four of these songs are duets sung with four different female vocalists namely Lataji (Kora kagaz tha yeh man mera from the film Aradhana), Shamshad Begum (Mere neendon mein tum from the film Naya Andaz), Ashaji (Yeh raaten yeh mausam from the film Dilli ka thug), and Sushma Shreshtha (Tera mujhse hai pehle ka nata koi from the film Aa gale lag ja). The Medley also include a solo song by Kishore Kumar (Ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si from the film Chalti ka naam gadi).

An interesting common feature is that all the selected songs are composed in waltz (triple meter). The sequence of the songs is such that there is a lyrical ascendency through each song reaching a crescendo in the final song.
