Making a 100kg Steel Anvil - The cope and closing using K-CAST Sand

#metalcasting #kcast #metallurgy #anvil #foundry

Welcome back to the second in a 4 video series on how make an anvil from steel.

In episode 1 we looked at the drag and cores. In this episode we finish the mould with the cope, gluing of cores and sealing of the mould ready for pouring. This flask less sand mix allows us to create once off stand alone moulds from integrated flask and pattern combination boxes like you see in the video. The fine sand combined with the sealant paint create beautiful finishes.

Rob and Jamie assemble the mould and seal it once complete. We really appreciate you watching and hope you enjoy the content. Please find us on social media and share our videos and posts around. We are brand new and need your help to spread the word.

Thanks for watching
