HST/VP185 Leeds to Derby

The winter sun can create some beautiful scenery but it causes us some problems in this run from Leeds to Derby. Once you’ve got your sunglasses on you can follow this 10 car HST through the industrial heartlands of Wakefield, Sheffield and Chesterfield. Once into the Derbyshire Dales the scenery really can’t get any better and we also witness some stunning commissions of none other than George Stephenson.

Addendum.

The line joining at Moorethorpe is shown as passing through Pontifract and Knottingley which is not correct. There is no direct connection with the line through Knottingley.
