GET Greece | Youth Action - The Youth of Kastoria for the Climate!

As part of the youth activities of our project, our Greek partner @diamorfosis_iosd joined forces with the “Athanasios Christopoulos” Cultural Association of Kastoria giving light to a group exhibition of painting and visual arts “The Earth in Our Hands: Children Paint the Future”.

The exhibition, hosted at the historic “Bassara Mansion” as part of the Christopouleia 2026 event, attracted hundreds of young people and members of the local community: a vivid example of how collective action brings about change.

How did it happen?
👉 The young people in the Association’s Visual Arts Department were educated and made aware of the critical issues of climate change, using GET teaching and learning units.
👉 Knowledge became inspiration, and the children began creating works that led to this unique exhibition.
👉 Through paintings and original models, the young artists gave our shared home, the Earth, its own powerful voice, capturing with honesty the beauty of our world as well as the wounds of climate crisis and pollution.

Guided by the motto of the GET Teaching and Learning Unit that inspired them — “From Knowledge to Action” — the young people of Kastoria remind us that the future of the planet lies as much in their hands as in ours.
