A local archaeology dig inspires Bean to go in search of treasure. But why buy a metal detector when you can make one from lawnmower parts and a dustbin lid? After destroying his landlady’s back garden, Mr. Bean tries out his hand-made contraption in the woods. He is overjoyed to discover a buried chest of gold doubloons. However, his happiness is soon thwarted by the arrival of two baddies, the police and a very angry Landlady.
