James Wilkinson, who plays the heroic Mekaneck in Masters of the Universe, spoke to HeyUGuys at the UK Premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square, London — and arrived brimming with the enthusiasm of a man who has spent months extending his neck on screen like, in his own memorable phrase, "a battling giraffe." In a funny and infectiously energetic interview, Wilkinson spoke about the extraordinary loyalty of the Masters of the Universe fan base, Travis Knight's rare ability to balance colossal spectacle with genuine emotional authenticity, and gamely attempted to calculate — in elephant-based units — exactly how much weight he lifted over the course of production. The answer was a small herd.
