Make a wine glass from recycled wood and epoxy resin | Wooden wine goblet from a log | DIY |

I found a discarded log and turned it into a wooden wine glass at the Woodgeek workshop. Making a wooden wine goblet from recycled wood turned out to be an interesting DIY project because I used epoxy adhesive with some bright pigments to fill in the cracks. The end result was a spectacular wood and epoxy resin wine glass.
The discarded log I picked up had been lying in the sun for months and was full of cracks and knots. I first rounded the log on my lathe and after removing the excess wood, I used clear epoxy adhesive with some bright colours to fill the cracks and knots. Now the epoxy adhesive I used is stronger than clear epoxy resin and cures faster. After letting the epoxy set for 24 hours, I took it back to my lathe and shaped the rest of the wine goblet. To protect the wood, I used a water-based food-safe polish from ICA. It took me about 2 days to complete this project, but in the end, I got a pretty cool rustic wooden wine goblet with bright epoxy filling from some recycled wood.
Finally a unique wooden wine glass worthy of the best Italian wine and possibly the best gift for wine lovers.
